Puncture ends fight for the win
Race 1 of the guest start in Italy promised a lot, but ended in disappointment. Tomas Guedes drove a strong opening stint. He took the lead and held it until the pit stop. Because of the 17-second pit-stop handicap, Mees rejoined the track in P8.
From there, Mees drove a great comeback race. He worked his way up to P2 and was in the fight for the win. Then, three laps from the end, he got a puncture on a front tyre and had to give up the battle for victory.
Tomorrow is a new chance. Mees starts Race 2 from pole position at 12:20.
